The Lwowski-Kronfoth-Musiktheaterkollektiv is a pool of opera singers, musicians, performers, costume & set designers and video artists, founded by opera directors Julia Lwowski and Franziska Kronfoth. Both studied opera direction at Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin. The collective’s pop-up performance series Hauen und Stechen explores new forms of sonar-spatial synaesthesia in musical theatre. Based at Galerina Steiner in Berlin, they have performed at outdoor venues and in cellars, abandoned breweries, a closet, a painter’s studio, and in a car. Their productions include Wagner’s Ring at the Berlin Academy of the Arts, Handel’s Acis and Galatea at two outdoor clubs, Brecht’s Der gute Mensch von Sezuan at labor München, Verdi’s Macbeth and a version of Elektra at the Neuköllner Oper.
