Two peo­p­le, sea­ted on eit­her side of a table cover­ed with basil plants, cut and eat lea­ves. Ins­tead of Apollo’s sacred lau­rel, they chew on a herb of ever­y­day sanc­ti­ty, which, rather than indu­cing pro­phe­cy or hal­lu­ci­n­a­ti­on, brings alert­ness and a con­nec­tion bet­ween pre­histo­ry ‑the uncon­scious- and histo­ry ‑the ratio­nal con­scious­ness-. A trans­gen­der man is inter­view­ed to join a group, the Social Dis­as­ter Club. Stran­ge sto­ries come to light, while music, poly­pho­nic songs and a mys­te­rious voice inter­rupt the nar­ra­ti­on. RAW EGGS is a new dra­ma­tur­gy about the defen­se of free­dom and the subt­le­ty of cou­ra­ge. It’s so tra­gic. So fun.
